Hi, I’m Ted Shepler, the owner and operator of Ted the Toolman. With over 25 years of hands‑on experience, I’ve built my handyman business on trust, quality workmanship, and dependable service.

Over the past two and a half decades, I’ve worked on all types of homes and projects—from small repairs to larger improvements. That experience allows me to quickly identify problems, offer practical solutions, and complete each job efficiently and correctly. I believe in doing the job right the first time, with no shortcuts.

Living in Madison for the past 3 decades, I’ve grown very proud of the city I call my own.

Family is at the heart of everything I do. I’ve been happily together with my wife, Sarah, for 35 years, and we are proud parents to our 17‑year‑old trans daughter. We also share our home with our two adopted dogs, Ruby and Amber, who remind me every day of the value of patience, responsibility, and care. Being a husband, father, and dog owner has shaped my values - respect, reliability, integrity, and love what I do—and I bring those same values into my work.
